The good ship Barnstoneworth (D1) dropped anchor at Narara High School this week on a scorching Sunday afternoon for a game against old adversaries Gosford. The opening of the 2010 campaign saw the Good ship Barnstoneworth setting sail for an early morning raid on Mangrove Mountain with a motley crew of scoundrels and vagabonds press ganged from numerous sleazy taverns and places of ill repute around the Central Coast. Rick, Alan, Tony Mick and Nigel were making their Barnstoneworth debuts and were soon involved in early skirmishes as we poured forward with the impressive Alan nicking a poachers goal within a few minutes. The Barnstoneworth B’s have a Redfern Raiders Trial Game which kicks off at 1.00pm on Saturday.
The game is an annual event and a good opportunity for the coach to assess the new and old players.
We are meeting at the shell service station at 10.30am to car pool down to the game.
