BUFC D vs East Gosford

The Dashing D’s faced the unknown this week against an East Gosford side new to the competition but were soon in our stride gaining the lead with a fine strike from Andy Stuart cutting in from the left for his 2nd goal in 2 games. East Gosford equalised after their troublesome left winger cut through us and laid a perfect ball on for their striker till TJ made a tactical change to stifle him. Our midfield gradually took control with Denis in sublime form, Bill battling away and Ed slotting in from 10 yards after a textbook move down the left.

East Gosford flagged slightly in the 2nd half and we continued to create chances with Ed, John, Jess, and Scotty unlucky and Denis contributing a couple of conversions. However their sweeper and keeper were in fine form and kept us at bay until Dellboy rejoined the action and lashed in a fine shot from 20 yards to seal a fine 3-1 win and a promise to wear Kerry’s netball outfit again.

Man of the match was our man from Gloria Jean’s (TJ said thanks for the Latte Denis)

and a huge thanks to our superb fitness trainer Tracey (Pam Ayres?), Robbie her dog who loved Mark Butlers finger, the kids for helping with the nets and to all those on the sideline for their support. Only 3 weeks till the next game!
