BUFC D’s vs Ourimbah

We had a tough fixture this week on the tiny pitch at a sunny Ourimbah with the Barny army aiming to get back on track after last weeks derailment to Kanwal. A very physical 1^st half saw Ourimbah snatch the lead against the run of play with a fine cross bundled across the line before we struck back after some fine pressure with John unleashing a toe poke past their keeper. Halftime 1-1.   

With our back 5 negating their attacking options, the midfield took control of the game ably supported by Smithy ranging down the right, with both wings being worked well. The front 2 were working their sox off and were finally rewarded with Ed turning them inside out and lashing in a fine finish, John sneaking in a deft header swiftly followed by a hard low shot into the corner and Ed muscling in for a late goal.

Final score 5-1, and most importantly a fine team performance with particular mention to Tracy who ran the changes superbly, Ben for ball boying, Bill and Gloria for battling on after taking some big hits, and to the ladies who added some much needed glam to the afternoon.

Deserved Man of the match was John for a superb 3 goal haul.
