Barnstoneworth MAA vs Kanwal – Round 5 Match Report

The Barnstoneworth MAA team succumbed to another loss and it was a tough one to take. The game had 0-0 written all over it with no real serious chances for either side.

We had 14 players ready for battle this week and it felt like a battle in terms of the opposition (a gritty Kanwal) and in terms of the pitch ( a very spongey Frost 2).

A close game in the first half with not many chances for either side as we felt each other out. 0-0 at the half time break and there was encouraging words spoken at half time and some extra not so encouraging words from our fill in referee.

2nd half and we started to see more chances for the boys in red and white but we grew tired on the heavy pitch and we succumbed to a late late goal which Harry couldn’t quite keep hold of and we were down 1-0.

After numerous long balls over the top to get back into it, the final whistle was blown and we were devastated.
