We took to the field full of optimism after Tim ‘Gettysburg Address’ Watt’s six-volume email on where we went wrong and where we need to improve. Pass and move was the message, and for the most part we did just that.

Well once again, the 45A’s were on their travels, this time away to Toukley. We will need our satnavs to find Duffys oval, if we are ever lucky enough to play there! The game didn’t start well, kick off time 15.00, but a no show from the referee or linesman, Toukley officials trying desperately to […]
Wednesday night, 6:30pm, under 20 Watt bulbs at Mangrove Mountain… FIRST HALF We played quite well SECOND HALF We didn’t. Arse to that.
After our Round 4 game was washed out, we were very eager to face Killarney in round 5 at Jubilee Oval although another 1.30PM kick off meant for another uncomfortably warm game.
A round five rematch against our grand final opponents from last year with the net result being another loss in a game that we should’ve won without issue. While our football was largely panicked and quite ordinary, this was one game when the football played is of little importance in the context of other events.
Round 3 saw Barnstoneworth 35BN’s hosting East Gosford at Duffy’s oval, with a later kick off of 3.10PM seeing the game played in more comfortable temperatures.
How good was it to be back on the hallowed home turf for the first time in a couple of years, with plenty of support given that a bunch of our teams were “back to back at fortress Duffys” A real highlight of the afternoon!!
Yet again Barnstoneworth 45A’s were on their travels. This time to Jubilee Oval in Long Jetty to play against Killarney Vale, so when we eventually get a game at Duffy’s we will have to ask for directions as it’s been so long since we played there.
Expectations were high as the 35Cs again took to the sacred field at Duffy’s, in front of a record home crowd of 27 people.
Round 2 saw Barnstoneworth 35BN’s away to Berkley Vale at Chittaway Oval, which meant both our opponent and the venue were unknowns. A 1.30PM kick off saw temperatures still in the high 20’s, so rotations in the midfield would again be likely to be a key factor.
