Over 45 C1 2020

The world may be in chaos, but the beautiful game marches on.

The crack fighting unit of the Barnstoneworth Over 45C1 team trooped out onto the sunlit field of dreams that is Eastern Road Oval 1, led by one James ‘Jim’ McClaren in pursuit of glory yet again, though this time with added Pyom and Westy. The pre-season may have been socially distanced, but the formation and subs plan were clear, the hands duly sanitised, and the fighting spirit undiminished.

Barnstoneworth Over 45s Champions for 2018

The Over 45 B’s 2018 Grand Final between Barnstoneworth and Ourimbah was a great game played in a fantastic spirit by 2 evenly matched teams.

The game was very close from the kick off with Barnstoneworth pushing forward to the lead with a great headed goal scored by Dougie White. Barnstoneworth looked comfortable holding onto the lead until Ourimbah mounted one of their few attacks, during which the ref awarded what can only be described as a dubious penalty, which was converted making it 1-1. Well, Barnstoneworth 45B’s (Previously 45A) yet again struggled to field a full team against our nemesis team Killarney Fossils who last time out best us 1-6.

Well yet again we are on our travels, this time against Killarney Vale at Jubilee Oval. Oh what a pleasure it would be to actually get a game at our own ground!
