Barnstoneworth Weekly Update – 2018 Round 16
Lots and lots of information below regarding AGM, Preso, Hypnotists, 2018 Player Survey, Helping Farmers etc…
The season has been long and very enjoyable and we still have 4 out of 8 teams in contention for finals football. I’m sure that the other teams that narrowly missed out still had a thoroughly enjoyable season, played some memorable football and had some banter with a great bunch of old blokes!
As the season draws to a conclusion there is still a lot to look forward to:
- 2018 Player Survey – most of you have an opinion on all matters to do with the running of the club (some more than others!!!) and this is your opportunity to have those opinions aired. The committee welcomes all feedback, warts and all, so that Barnstoneworth can continually improve and provide club members with a better service. A separate email will shortly follow this one with a link to Surveymonkey for you all to complete the questionnaire. Please take 2 mins to fill this out as it will help us a lot to prepare better for 2019.
- Hypnosis Show – I’ve seen a lot of you play this year and reckon that most of you have already been hypnotised! If you want to witness the real thing, TUFC are hosting a show on 14th September at 6pm at Breakers and you can book a table for 8 people via this link – https://form.jotform.co/
81888896384886 or you can buy tickets at Duffy’s or https://www.eventbrite.com. au/e/terrigal-united-football- club-fundraiser-tickets- 45329624126?aff=eac2 - AGM – The 2018 committee will all be standing down on Wednesday 24th Oct 7pm at Breakers Country Club and all members of the club have the opportunity to nominate themselves for a position in 2019. The positions will be the same as this year – President, Secretary, Treasurer and 4 general positions. The nomination form is available upon request from Micky Hamill so if you’re interested please request a copy of the form from him via email Michael.hamill@jemena.
com.au. Nominations need to be received by midnight on 10th October 2018 - Barnstoneworth Preso – there are plans in place to make this year’s Preso bigger and better than before and not to be missed!!! It will be held on Saturday 22nd September from 7pm onwards at Breakers and TUFC (as part of your 2018 registration) will be covering the cost of the 2-course meal. More info will be sent out soon but please let your Coach or Manager know ASAP whether you are definitely attending as we need to confirm numbers. Partners are more than welcome to attend and the cost for them has been reduced to just $37.50. The more, the merrier.
- ‘Doing it for the Farmers’ campaign – as you all know, Aussie Farmers have got it extremely tough at the moment and Terrigal High School are helping out as much as possible. Every Friday they are having a ‘Food for Farmers Friday’ where anyone can donate essential items for our next deliveries. If you want to help, feel free to donate goods to Terrigal High Reception any time.
