On a wet Saturday morning in February, a beautiful local family were in a devastating car accident. They were on their way to soccer training – a trip they’ve made hundreds of times with their two sons, Seth and Archie. The crash killed their oldest son, Archie, and resulted in Seth and his father, Neil, being airlifted to Westmead Hospital. Neil remains in intensive care and the full extent of his injuries are still uncertain.

Archie had just started Year 7 at the Central Coast Sports College and had made it into the Mariners SAP program. An awesome little player and passionate about all things football, Archie was known and loved by so many in the Central Coast football community.
Neil is the most wonderful man and father who works to make digital media accessible to those with a disability. Alanna, Neil’s wife, is a paediatric nurse who has selflessly cared and advocated for those less fortunate and whose lives have been devastated by unimaginable trauma.

Neil and Alanna will not be able to work for some time. They were in the middle of major house renovations, with Neil trying to get a lot done himself in the evenings and weekends. We are hoping to support them while they are unable to work, to help complete their renovations to make their home comfortable again, and allow them the time to grieve and slowly heal.

Through all their sadness and grief, this family is learning just how loved they are, and they are learning to accept help from the community that loves them.

With this in mind, this magnificent fundraiser event, “Fit for a King”, filled with love and joy, to celebrate them and help them financially as much as possible. The event will take place at Mingara and consists of a two-course dinner, unlimited drinks package, entertainment, band, auctions, lucky door prizes, balloon pop raffle, wine wall and raffle as well as brilliant MCs and a great live brand. This will be a great evening for a great cause.
